Hello, world! Welcome to my About page.
I’m a weird person that loves GNU. That’s pretty much all you need to know.
Also: GNU is the name of the operating system commonly called “Linux”, or worse, “GNU/Linux”. “Linux” is the name of the kernel; you don’t call Windows “NTOSKRNL.EXE”, do you? And trying to marry the two with the clumsy “GNU/Linux” is even worse. No, Linux isn’t part of GNU, but it doesn’t matter in the end; the OS is named GNU, and that’s what it should be called; if you want to specify the kernel, say it, e.g. “GNU with the Linux kernel” or “GNU with HURD”, but in general it’s useless to specify. GNU is clear, correct, concise, and is the right choice. Nothing else is.
